My wife and I got up early this morning.
Attended the 7:00 am Mass specially offered for the departed souls. Have breakfast, bought some flowers, thence to the cemetery to visit some old friends..!
Many years ago, when I was in charged of cemetery maintenance, people were curious to ask, when saw me at the cemetery... quite regularly especially during All Souls Day, who were buried here... they meant who were my relatives or loved ones buried here. I said no one.
But I have many acquaintances and friends buried here.
We laid flowers at the tombs of Ah Ku (former Catechist) and the 3 priests.
Walking past many tombs, we said hello to departed old friends .... Francis Loh, Pang, Joseph Ng, Mr. and Mrs De Cruz, Mrs Carmel Francis, God daughter Felisia, Mr. Wong, Danny Lee, Joseph Cheong ........ We lighted unfinished candles (blew out by wind) left behind by previous visitors....
Ahhhh .... this lady..Mary passed away already?!? We knew she suffered from cancer, but was not aware of her passing....
This one is John, the man from XXXX, ahh passed away also....
Looking at some of the new tombs, we noticed some fellow parishioners we knew had passed away...
May all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in Peace.
May they pray for us also. Amen.
今天我和太太都起得很早。
我们去参加了早上七时弥撒，奉献给所有已亡者。到巴刹吃早餐，然后买了些鲜花，跟着就去义山探访老朋友。。。
好多年前，当我负责义山维修组的时候，很多教友在义山见到我的时候，都会问谁葬在这里？他们的意思是我有什么亲戚长眠在这义山。我说没有。
但我有好多相识及朋友在这里。
我们在传道员梁姑及三位神父的坟墓，献上鲜花。
走过一排一排的墓碑，向长眠六尺黄泉下的朋友说声“哈罗”。。。。罗锦仁，若瑟，阿庞，迪古士夫妇，代女菲丽西亚，黄炎老先生，李玉安，张志明。。。。。。我们点燃了好多早前来扫墓的人留下，被风吹熄的剩余蜡烛。
啊啊。。怎么玛利亚去世了？？？我们知道她有癌症，但不知她逝世了。。。。
这位是若望，来自XXX区，他也去世了。。。。
看到一些新的墓陵，一些我们认识的教友去世了。。。。
愿所有已亡者，赖天主的仁慈，安息主怀。
也祈求所有的已亡者，为我们活着的人祈祷。阿门。
