The plane touched down on schedule at the Kuching International Airport at 1:30 pm. It was raining.
We were welcomed by members of the organising committee and bused to Grand Margherita Hotel (formerly Holiday Inn Kuching) by the riverside in downtown Kuching.
I was hungry and could not wait to have a big bowl of Kuching Kolo Mee at a nearby coffee shop.
The opening Mass was at 5:00pm at a hall in a commercial complex. The Mass was celebrated by Archbishop John Ha, con-celebrated by Archbishop Emiratus Peter Chung and three priests from Taiwan.
694 legionaries from 24 areas across East and West Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and Taiwan attending this event.
Later in the evening, a dinner was hosted at the same venue to welcome the participants.
