Lenten break 四旬期歇息

This is an eventful period of our nation.

Looming general election adds tension, confusion, distortion to our normal daily life.

The Sulu sultanate military infiltration into Lahat Datu and Semporna of Sabah making already tense situation more volatile.

So far the more than two-week standoff has resulted 8 death of our security forces.

Politicians from both side of divide making bizarre accusation against each other of "instigation & involvement" of the invasion.

People do not have good feeling towards our economic future despite hundreds of millions of Ringgits being doled out by the Prime Minister to create"good feeling" among the people (to buy votes).

The coming 13th General Election is billed as the most important, most bruising, dirtiest election of our country's 56 years history.

There is a possibility of change of government !

I had a hectic 2 weeks beginning my trip to Sibu.

After sending off 4 Chinese visitors, I was busy clearing my office of all documents and equipment before 1st of March for the incoming new tenant.

It was a physical challenging task. Luckily, my old flesh and bone withstood the test.

So, it is time for me to take a Lenten break -  for penance, prayer and charity.

Fast and abstain from internet and social media is considered to be one of my best self-denial during the season of Lent. (email communication excepted)

I am leaving for Taiwan soon ... to meet friends ... to the mountains, to encounter God !

Will blog after Easter (March 31).

Taking a break 休歇

這是我国一个多事之秋。

全国大选，风雨欲来，给我们的日常生活带来更多的紧张，混乱，混淆的气氛。

菲律宾苏禄武装份子进入沙巴州的拿督及仙本那，使到紧张的气氛，更加敏感。

这超过两个星期的武装侵占，已经有8位武装警察人员殉职。

执政及反对两方的政客，包括首相及部长，互相指责对方“唆使”，从“参与” 这项武装侵略行动。

国家面对空前未有的保安局势，政客趁机捞资本，荒谬，可笑又可耻！

人民对我国的经济前景不乐观。虽然首相纳吉以各种名堂，分派了千百万元的糖果，意图收买选票，但人们仍然没有那种良好的感觉。不怪的他仍然犹豫不决，宣布大选定日期。

即将来临的第十三届全国大选，被称为将是马来西亚建国56年来，最激烈，肮脏，但最重要的大选。

大选的结果可能会见到政权的替换。

诗巫之行过后，我有着非常繁忙的两个星期。

送走了中国的访客后，我的马上清理办公室里的所有文件，器材及办公室家私，以让新的用户在三月一日搬进。

这是一件非常挑战性的工作，牵涉到好多的体力劳作。幸亏我的老骨头还能够胜任。

现在，是我来个四旬期歇息的时候了 - 去做补赎，祈祷及善功。

对我来说，网际网络，社交媒体斋戒，是四旬期 “自我弃绝” 的最好途径之一。(只用电邮而已）

我与太太将会前往台湾，去探望朋友，去山上，去与主相遇。。。

会在复活节后，再次上载帖子。

祝愿大家有个圣洁的四旬期，迎接一个充满祝福的复活节。
