Mr. Lok (85), retired secondary school headmaster, is a internationally well known Malaysian Chinese calligrapher/painter.
We were honoured to be welcomed into their home by the couple.
Mr. Lok patiently explained the content of his latest book, a collection of his calligraphy and paintings. I learned a lot from this session.
Later we were treated to a lunch at a nearby restaurant which served delicious food.
We left after tea at about 3:00 pm.
Upon reaching home, I was surprised to receive a call from a Singaporean friend whom I had not met for the past 40 years.
Chow was here in KL for the weekend to attend a relative's wedding function.
I brought him to my house, and later to a Satey dinner, spending some time reminiscing our days together in Singapore more than 40 years ago.
