Spices of life ~ Lime juice
Every Chinese New Year, I would buy 2 pots of lime trees as decoration. The fruits usually lasted about 4 to 5 months.
Few years ago, I transplanted 2 trees to my backyard. It matured after about 2 years and bearing plenty of lime fruits. Sometimes it was too much that I just let them dropped off to the ground.
However, we learned a new way of making use of them.
We would harvest mature fruits, juiced them and kept as ice cubes. Add one or two pieces can turn plain water into refreshing drinks, especially during hot days.
