After Christmas Mass at the church, we welcomed visitors from 12:00 noon right up to 9:00 pm. It was tiring but joyful and rewarding.
It was a day of sharing and laughing among good friends and family members.
My wife and Agnes, the housemaid, spent a few days before to prepare Johor Laksa for the visitor friends. It is a specialty from Johor state. Unlike the common Laksa which is spicy, Johor Laksa gravy is uniquely made of fish and prawns, no Chilies or spices.
Tai Chi members also brought a few delicious dishes to the gathering.
Kuala Lumpur Regia, the highest council of the Legion of Mary in Peninsular Malaysia, organised its 2014 Annual General Reunion (AGR) on 14/12/2014, Sunday from 2pm to 5 pm at the Holy Family Church Hall in Kajang.
More than 700 legionaries from Klang Valley area attended this annual gathering.
Fr. Raymond Pereira, the Spiritual Director of the Regia, and Fr. George Harrison, Parish Priest of Holy Family Church were also present at the function.
Members from various language groups presented items of singing and dancing, keeping the crowd entertained and won rounds of applause from them.
A simple fellowship packed dinner followed after the event.
The Chinese Language Apostolate Committee of the Holy Family's Church celebrated its 20th Anniversary on Sunday, December 6 at the church Hall from 7:00pm to 10:00 pm.
About 800 parishioners and well wishers from other parishes attended the dinner. Vatican Apostolate Nunciature Chargé d'affaires Monsignor Ena, Parish Priest Fr. George, CDD Malaysia Provincial Superior Fr. Philip Tan, Fr. Stephen Ng, Fr. Andrew Wong , Sr. Theresa Chew, Marist Bro. Anthony and Bro. Joachim were also present at the dinner.
Most Rev. Julian Leow, Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur arrived at the dinner venue from his other earlier engagement.
A souvenir magazine was launched during the dinner by Fr.George.
Many entertaining items of dancing and singing by the youths and orgainsations enlivened this wonderful evening.
