Malaysian Chinese New Year 马来西亚的春节

The last time we made Kuih Bahulu (or Kuih bolu, a traditional Malaysian mini cake) was more than 15 years ago.

At that time, our children were young and they liked it so much that it was more economical to make our own -  the traditional way.

We made them under the Rambutan tree ... no more tree after our renovation 13 years ago.

Today, with my parents-in-law, we brought out the mould from storage and made one batch of Kuih Bahulu ... more than enough for our own consumption.

According to my wife, total cost was about RM30.00 plus labour !

The ingredients: flour, eggs and sugar
