The main stream media, newspapers and television stations, are flooded with governement (means Barisan Nasional) propaganda, praising Najib of his every move and action, highlighting his achievement, telling people to be grateful to the BN government for peace and prosperity it brought for the past 56 years. People are fed up with the rhetoric.
No mention of corruptions, abuse of power and wastage of people's money.
Everything about oppositions is bad and negative.
I don't watch local television news programme anymore.
People are forced to turn to the alternatives - online news portals, social media and open rallies. Control of mass media is a double sided sword, it works against the ruling coalition too.
I attended my first election rally of the season last night. It was an opposition rally organised by the Pakatan ( Oppostion coalition of DAP, PAS and Keadilan)
The rally was held at a covered basketball court at Sg Chua New Village attended by about 800 villagers.
Speakers:
Tan Kok Wai (MP Cheras, Vice-Chairman DAP)
Cikgu Lee (State Assemeblyman Kajang)
Lim Li Ying (MP Segambut, KL)
Teo Nie Ching (MP Serdang)
Lin Cai Yao ( Candidate for Sibu parliamentary)
Ronnie Liu (State Assemblyman Pandamaran, Kelang)
Subjects and issues brought up mostly were familiar and concerning corruptions and abuses of BN government, economy and security of the country.
Each speaker has his/her own style and charisma.
Teo Nie Ching, a.k.a Chili Padi, was most eloquent and charismatic. She spoke in fluent Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
I will attend more rallies, including BN and MCA during this election season.
主流电台及电视台，只见到关于政府（国阵）的新闻，对首相纳吉歌功颂德，赞颂国阵政府过去56年来的丰功伟业，提醒人们要感恩。人们已经厌倦了这种喋喋不休的宣传。
国家严重的贪污，滥权及滥用人民的钱，则只字不提。
我已经不看电视播报的新闻节目。
人民被迫转向别的代替 - 网际新闻，社交媒体及公众集会，来得到更准确及广泛的讯息。媒体的控制，对国阵政府来说，是一支双刃剑，自己也会受害。
昨晚，我参加了这次大选第一场竞选集会，是由民联（反对党联盟）主办的。
集会是假锡米山有盖篮球场举行，大约有八百人出席。

3.林立迎 （吉隆坡泗岩末国会议员）
4.张念群（沙登区国会议员）
5. 林财耀 （砂劳越诗巫区国会本届大选候选人）
6. 刘天球 （巴生班达马兰州议员）
每个上台者，都有各自的风格及方式。
张念群是最生动及流畅的演讲者。她说的一口流利的马来西亚语及华语。
所有提出的课题都是我们非常熟悉及常听得到的，是关于政府的贪污，滥权，经济及治安等。
我将会在这个竞选的季节里，参加更多竞选集会，包括国阵及马华的集会。
