Last few days, before I went to bed, I prayed no phone call in the middle of the night.
The anticipated phone call came this morning at 1020 am.
"Simon, Father Leo has breathed his last..." It was from Jude. Father Leo Chang passed away peacefully a few minutes before Jude's arrival. He breathed his last while Cecilia and Jennifer (a young girl very close to Father) were praying the Rosary besides him.
His body was brought back to the Church of the Holy Family and lay-in-state inside the church. More than one thousand parishioners attended the Eucharistic celebration tonight at 8:00 pm for the repose of Fr. Leo Chang. The church will open 24 hours for people to pay respect or to pray.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday 17-12-08 at 10:30 am thence the burial at the Kajang Catholic Cemetery.
No more suffering, no more pain, no breathing through the mouth is necessary, not even through the nose. He was called back to his Father's house to enjoy the eternal Glory.
" I have fought the good fight to the end; I have run the race to the finish; I have kept the faith; all there is to come now is the crown of righteousness reserved for me, with the Lord, the righteous Judge....." (2 Tim 4:7)
过去几天，在临睡前，都祈求不要有半夜的电话到了。
那个不希望来的电话，在今天早上十点二十分终于来了。
“西满，神父停止呼吸了。。”那是教友Jude 打来的。张学礼神父在他还没抵达之前的几分钟，安静的被主召叫回天乡了，当时Cecilia 和 Jennifer 正在神父床边诵念玫瑰经。
他的遗体停放在他生前建成的加影圣家教堂。晚上八时正，举行了一台弥撒圣祭，超过一千名教友参加了这台为他灵魂安息的祭献。教堂将开放二十四小时，供教友瞻仰及诵经。
他的殡葬弥撒将在星期三早上十时半举行，然后安葬在加影天主教坟场。
不再有痛苦，悲伤；不需要再张口呼吸，更本也不必再呼吸。他被天主召叫回到天乡共享天国的永福永乐了。
“这场好仗，我已打完；这场赛跑，我已到终点；这信仰，我已保持了。从今以后，正义的冠冕已为我预备下了，就是主，正义的审批者，到那一天，必要赏给我的。。” （弟后4：7）
