Happy Deepavali

Today is Deepavali, a festival of light, celebrated by Hindus throughout the world. Wishing all Hindu friends a happy and joyful Deepavali!

As usual, we went to my worker Rathinam's open house. His wife cooked delicious curry - mutton, chicken and fish.

Alice of Sibu, Sarawak was here with us this weekend so she came along too. This was her first experience of Deepavali in an Indian house, eating Indian food!

Later, we were home to attend a neighbourhood Malay wedding lunch.

For dinner after Mass, we have frog porridge, fish head bihoon...

It was a day of eating and a day belonged to Alice!
