My family does not require to make the annual Balik Kampong （home coming) journey this year because my parents in law are spending New Year with us in Kajang.
My mother-in-law started preparing her special Teo Chew Lou duck (Braised duck), and a lot of Tou Fu and eggs, for the new year.
The smell of New Year is already here!!
今天是农历新年除夕的前夕。
今年我和家人不须Balik Kampong （回乡），因为岳父母北上，到加影与我们共度新年。
今天，岳母已经开始准备她的拿手潮州滷鸭，加上好多的滷豆腐和滷蛋。这是潮州人新年的必有佳肴。
我已经嗅到新年的味道了！
