Countdown to New Year 新年倒数

Today is the eve of the New Year's eve.

My family does not require to make the annual Balik Kampong (home coming) journey this year because my parents in law are spending New Year with us in Kajang.

My mother-in-law started preparing her special Teo Chew Lou duck (Braised duck), and a lot of Tou Fu and eggs, for the new year.

The smell of New Year is already here!!













今天是农历新年除夕的前夕。

今年我和家人不须Balik Kampong (回乡),因为岳父母北上,到加影与我们共度新年。

今天,岳母已经开始准备她的拿手潮州滷鸭,加上好多的滷豆腐和滷蛋。这是潮州人新年的必有佳肴。

我已经嗅到新年的味道了!
