The last day （Wednesday) of our tour brought us to Cathedral of The Church of the Holy Rosary in Kaoshiong. This church was built about 72 years ago and acclaimed to be the most beauty church in Taiwan, and decreed by the Vatican as the Mini Basilica.

The church was built on the spot where the first missionary landed 150 years ago. The Taiwan Catholic Church is celebrating the 150th anniversary of its founding in Taiwan throughout the year 2009.

Again we were warmly welcome by the parishioners, legionaries, priest and His Lordship Bishop Zheng of Kaoshiong Diocese.

Bishop celebrated a thanksgiving Mass specially with the visitors. In his homily, he expressed his gladness with the work of the legionaries. He said the legionaries were most favaoured by our Lady and received the most blessing from her.

The warm welcome by the legionaries and parishioners, the easy going and friendly Bishop touched the hearts of all the visitors. They left with grateful and joyful hearts.

We were treated to a refreshments after Mass. Of course, the fruits of the season - pineapples, watermelon, Lychee were a plenty for the visitors to enjoy.

We left Kaoshiong after lunch for Taipei. Some of the legionaries stayed another night at the Jian Tan Activites Center while me and two legionaries heading to Yan Ming Shan for a two nights stay.

I will be leaving for home early morning on 12-6-09.

旅游的最后一天（星期三）是访问高雄玫瑰主教座堂。这是教廷颁布的朝圣教堂，建于72年前，也被称为全台湾最美丽的教堂。

玫瑰堂所在地点，就是在150年前，第一位传教士在高雄登陆的地点。今年，台湾天主教欢庆创教150周年，而圣母军交流会就是这庆事的一个项目。

如拜访其他堂区一样，我们同样的受到当地的主教、教友、圣母军等待热烈欢迎。

郑主教也特地主持一台感恩弥撒。主教在证道中，非常赞赏圣母军的工作。他说圣母军是圣母最喜悦的人，所以也是领受最多祝福的人。

弥撒过后，有茶点招待我们这群访客。应季的水果如黄梨、芒果、荔枝等，摆满了一桌。

教友的热忱，主教的随和及友善的接待，给访客留下了深刻的印象。怀着依依不舍、欢欣及感激的心情，离开了主教座堂。

在高雄用过了午餐后，就取道回台北了。一些团员到回剑潭活动中心，在住宿一晚才回家。而我及另外两位八打灵团员，则往阳明山住宿两天。

我将在12-6-09清晨离开台北。

It was a really a long…long day. It started with morning call at 6:30am, breakfast at 7:00am and left the hotel for the day’s itinerary at 8:00am, and ended at Kaoshiong at 11:00 pm., a 14-hour day. The journey from Hua Lian to Pintung was winding and bumpy at times, made many members throwing out.

Anthony and his Brunei members parted company with us today. They took a different route because they are flying home tonight via Taipei.

For the almost 500 km, 14-hour journey, we managed to visit two tribal churches only, But it was worth while.

The first church we visited was a in a tribal area called Tulan Christ the King Church in Pintung County. The parish priest who is a Penan together with the parishioners in colorful tribal dresses, lined up to welcome us and treated us to an authentic tribal lunch under a big tent. They also entertained us with traditional dances and songs.

The local legionaries, mostly with 30 years membership were excited by our visit. It was the first time they met so many fellow legionaries from so many countries and areas.

After the Christ the King Church we visited the Church of Immaculate conception in another town called Zhiben， a Hamlet near Wulai, a hot spring resort and tourist area.The Auxiliary Bishop and parish priest greeted us warmly. We attended Mass at this unique and beautiful church celebrated by His Lordship. He briefed us on the history of the church and expressed gladness of our visit. This is also the first time such big crowd from so many areas came to the church.

We were treated to a light refreshment with fruits of the season especially the Lychee.

We left for Kaoshiong via Pintung after dinner.




























今天是非常长的一天。从六点三十分晨呼，七点早餐，八点出发，到我们抵达高雄，这是十四个小时的一天。从花莲到屏东的某些路段，非常的弯曲及颠簸，使到一些团员呕吐。志贤及汶莱的军友，今天和我们离队了，他们使用另一条观光路线，因为他们在今天下午，从台北离开回家。

我们用了十四个小时，走了将近五百公里，只为了拜访两间原住民教堂，但我认为这是值得的。

我们拜访的第一间教堂是在台东县的都兰天主堂。本堂的本南族的神父及教友，穿着鲜艳的民族服装，列队欢迎我们。他们还呈献了许多个民族舞蹈及歌曲。

当地的圣母军，大都已有三十年军龄，非常的兴奋的看到我们的到来。这是他们第一次和来自许多国家、地区的军友会面，温馨温馨。

接下来是拜访在知本的圣母无染原罪堂。花莲的原住民曾署理主教，特地抛下繁忙的工作，到来为我们主祭弥撒。他很高兴看到这么多圣母军，他说圣母军是圣母最喜爱的人，也必定得到最好的祝福。

弥撒过后，当地教友设茶点招待我们，并特别采摘了当地的水果，特别是荔枝来招待我们。

过后，我们在附近餐馆用晚餐，然后就取道屏东，往高雄前进。

Mass at Hua Lian Cathedral 花莲主教主持弥撒

It is 9:15 pm now. We just checked into hotel ten minutes ago after our dinner at a restaurant. It was a long day.

The Legion Fellowship has been concluded successfully. It is time for sightseeing.

We, in six bases, left Taipei at about 8:00am for Hua Lian, an east coast county of Taiwan. Through many tunnels, we reached Hua Lian at noon and have our lunch at a restaurant catering mostly for tourist (more than ten bases parked there)

After lunch we went toTaruko National Park to view the wonders of nature.

Then we went to Tzu Chi University for a visit to the information centre to learn about the good works of the organisation. Tzu Chi was founded by Rev. Zheng Yan founded the Tzu Chi movements in Hua Lian more than 40 years ago.

The visit was to foster closer understanding and appreciation of Catholics towards other religions and movements. In Kuala Lumpur, the Chinese speaking Catholic works closely with the Tzu Chi in disaster relief activities.

At 5:30pm, we have Mass at the Hua Lian Cathedral celebrated by Bishop Wang of Hua Lian Diocese. He expressed warm welcome to us visitors and his appreciation of the good works done by the Legion of Mary. He noted Legionaries are deeply devoted the Mary, thus are the most favour by her.

We have light refreshment after Mass and dinner at 7:30 pm.

台北圣母军交流会成功的结束，也这是旅游的时候了。

我们一群人，共六辆巴士，在早上八时离开台北，往东部的花莲前进。

经过了好多隧道，包括长十二公里的雪山隧道，途径美丽的宜兰，我们在中午抵达花莲，并在此餐馆用午餐。

午餐过后，我们到太鲁阁国家公园观赏自然界的奇景。

接下来，我们到慈济大学里静思堂参观慈济的各种爱心救济工作。我想这是天主教徒对外认识，宗教交流的一个好安排。在吉隆坡，华语天主教徒在赈灾工作上，常有合作。慈济是证严法师在四十多年前，在花莲创办的。

在5：30 pm, 我们到花莲主教座堂参加弥撒。花莲的黄主教，本来这个时候是应该在泰国参加会议，但藉天主的安排，能够有人代替，他就留下来，并在今天亲自迎接我们及主祭一台弥撒。

弥撒后，当地教友准备了茶点招待我们。离开教堂后，我们在七时半，到另一间餐馆用晚餐。

With a glittering and emotional farewell dinner at the iconic Yuan Shan Hotel, the 17th Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Taiwan Annual Fellowship of Chinese Speaking Legionaries ended tonight. The dinner was attended by more than 400 legionaries from 35 units and region, graced by Archbishop and Bishop of Taipei, priests religions and a distinguished High Court Judge.

The Legionaries will meet in Ipoh Perak in 2010 !


第十七届马、新、汶、台华文圣母军交流会惜别晚宴，在宏伟的台北圆山大饭店举行，这也意味作交流会完满的结束了。出席宴会的除了超过四百名的军友之外，还有台北教区的总主教及主教，许多神父，修女及一位高庭法官。

2010年的第十八届交流会，将在马来西亚霹雳州的怡保举行！

It is 1:00 am.

I was just backed from After-fellowship of the Fellowship (pic below). It was a relaxing sessions after a day's activities.

现在已是凌晨一点了。

我刚从交流会后的小交流会，也称为【酒徒会】。这是我们大家在一天的活动后，愿意参加的一些单位领导，集聚在一起，谈天说地，喝酒，喝茶，甚至喝奶，非常轻松的交流。(下图）


The third day of fellowship started early. At 8:30 am, we were already at the Immaculate Conception of Taipei for Mass which was celebrated by Archbishop Hong and Bishop Wang, and con-celebrated by eleven priests.

After Mass, talks were given by Fr. Pu from Korea but based in Taiwan for the past four years. He shared his experience of building community with the help of legionaries; and his tireless effort to form ten praesidium to change the life of his rural parish.

Archbishop treated us to a sumptious lunch at a nearby famous restaurant. He was the most friendly Archbishop I have ever met. He toasted with all the legionaries by going table by table.
He respects and appreciates the contribution of Legion of Mary in community building and evangelization.

After lunch, we adjourned to the Church of the Holy Family for a talk.

At 6:00pm, we were bused to Taipei 101 for sightseeing.

It was a cool and windy evening. I sat at the entrance of Taipei 101, feeling safer than my country. I did not go up the the observation deck at floor 89, but instead walked around the shopping area.

At 8:00 pm, Ms Lee, the former president of TaiChong Curia which organised the 2004 Legion Fellowship in Taichong, brought two of us to Carnegie's Spirit of Rock restaurant for a delicious dinner.

The day ended with with the After-fellowhship of the Fellowship.


交流会的第三天，我们很早就出发了。大约早上八点半，我们就到了圣母无染原罪总主教座堂，参加又两位主教及十一位神父共祭的弥撒。

弥撒过后，韩籍的朴神父，主持了一个讲座，分享他的牧灵经验，特别是圣母军在协助建立团体的贡献。他也分享了他目前服务堂区的故事，如何藉着圣母军改变了教友的生活，及从零到建立十个支团的努力。

过后，总主教在附近一家餐馆招待了我们。最令人感动的是这位总主教的随和及亲民态度。他是我见过的许多主教中最随和及易亲近的一位。他到每一张桌子，向团员们问候及干杯。

午餐后，我们移师到圣家堂听讲座。

在傍晚六时，我们到底了台北101参观。我没有上去89楼的观望台，而到商店逛逛。我坐在101的外面，享受着凉风，感觉到很安全（比我国更安全）

在八点，台中的前任团长李静芷招待我们到他女儿管理的意见西式餐馆用晚餐。

今天就在主徒会集聚后结束。

耕莘医院 Cardinal Tien Hospital

交流会的目的主要就是交流，但教会的集会，必须有需要对我们的信仰及灵修有益。所以，圣母军交流会就要选择一条适合的路线，过重的社交活动，就不能称为圣母军集会；过重的灵修活动，却会乖离交流会的性质。

台北交流会就花了相当多的心思，作出适当的安排，以取得平衡，达到交流会的目的。

今天是交流会的第二天，代表可以选择留在活动中心，分享或聆听各地的工作分享，讲座，也可以选择到医院或戒活所作实地拜访。我选择了到天主教办的耕莘医院作实地拜访

早餐后，两辆巴士车载满了军友，开往坐落在台北新店的天主教耕莘医院出发。在台湾，“天主教”这个识别称号，好像非常的注重，所有的宣传物品，都有着天主教这三个字。

因为早上繁忙交通及塞车，我们经过整一个小时多，才到达目的地，许多志工（义工）在医院门口欢迎我们了。很荣幸的，院长早就在会议室等待我们的到来，并由牧灵关怀部的修女，向我们简报这医院的历史及服务，特别是该院的“牧灵关怀部”。

我们被分成8人一组，有圣母军志工带领，拜访三个部门。

首先我们看到的是精神科日间智障关怀。这个部门是照顾那些轻智障者，在白天到来，接受照顾，训练及做一些工作。这里设有电脑、职能及烹饪室训练课程及设备。

下一个部门是失智老人日间护理。这里的老人都也是一些轻微的失智（老人痴呆）。他们日间到这中心，参加一些团康活动，心理治疗等。这些都能够帮助他们减轻一些失智时面对的障碍及困难。这里还有复健师和营养师照顾他们身体及食物的照顾及选择，如避免暴饮暴食，控制体重等。

最后一个探访的部门，也是我最受我们关注的，那就是安宁服务。耕莘医院是台北第二所开始这个服务的医院。

部门主任周修女亲自向我们讲解这里的服务。这里收纳的都是患上末期癌症的病患。他们在这里，得到药物及心理和心灵的护理。他们在祥和及关爱的环境中，把痛苦减到最低点，走完了人生最后的一程。

我在这医院意外的遇到黄大华神父以前在这里实习的同事张茜华（下照片左二）及曾来过大马参加大华神父晋铎典礼的徐庆芸（左三）。

圣母军在这个牧灵护理工作上，积极的参与成为志工，为弱势的人们，需要关爱的人们服务，把爱带到他们的心中。他们的工作中心是关爱，不是传教，但在关爱中，让别人在他们身上，看到了耶稣。

我们在午餐时间结束了探访，回到剑潭活动中心继续下半天的活动。

与早上的活动相比，下午可是坐痛了屁股，当然也有很多代表，偷偷的去会周公。连串的报告，分享，讲座，终于把交流会的一些必要的资讯，带给了代表们。也是就是说，要做的，该做的，都做完了！

节目到晚餐后终于结束了。

这是很长的一天。晚上是自由活动，相信很多军友一定会去逛士林夜市。

The Jian Tan Center saw hive of activities at around 4:00pm. Local legionaries from various parts of Taiwan were the last batches of participants to be registered. According to the final tally revealed by the organiser, there were 413 participants from 35 units/areas taking part in this year's fellowship. The new comers were 17 legionaries from Huston, Texas, St. Jose and Southern California.

At 5：30 pm sharp, Taiwan Senatus President Chang Mei Ying led the opening prayer and Rosary. It was indeed grateful for our Mother's intercession and protection that, despite the threat of A (H1N1) worldwide, the fellowship was not affected.

The Fellowship was officially opened by Right Rev. Bishop Lee of Taipei diocese in a simple ceremony, followed by a Thanksgiving Mass con-celebrated by Bishop Wang from St. Jose and 12 other priests.

开幕礼（4-6-09）

傍晚四点左右，剑潭活动中心的经国礼堂，开始热闹了起来。台湾本土的军友是最后一批报到的参加者。根据主办当局的最后数字，总共有来自35个地区/单位，413名军友出席这届的交流会。今年新来的是美国休斯顿，加州圣河西及南加州三个单位的17位军友参加。

在五点三十分正，台湾分团团长张美芳姐妹带领诵念开会经及玫瑰经。是的，我们应该感谢圣母的爱护，祈求耶稣的恩赐，在 A (H1N1) 的阴影下，第十七届华文圣母军交流会，能够顺利的召开。

开幕礼的感恩弥撒由台北李克勉主教及圣河西的汪中璋主教主祭 ，12位神父共祭。弥撒过后就是晚餐及迎宾表演。

The second day in Taiwan dawned early .... at 5:00 am, it was bright sky outside. It was raining too. (the rain continues intermittently the whole day right up to now - almost 10:00 pm.)

It was a free day until noon. 10 of us was going to visit CDD Seminary/HQ at Yang Ming Shan. We have the rare experience of queuing up for bus under the rain.

We were warmly welcomed by Chonghua (China Provincial) Rev. Fr. Mai and Superior General Rev. Fr. Stephen Ng who are based here.

Sr. Janet, a Malaysian at the nearby convent came over to meet us. She knew many of the ladies from PJ.

We had lunch at the seminary. The cook, Anna, prepared really delicious authentic Taiwanese dishes.

We left Yang Ming Shan at about 2:00 pm.

(I will back to here to stay for 2 nights on 10,11 JUne)

台北的一天开始的很早，五点，整个天空都亮了。一早就滂沱大雨，间断的整天下个不停，直到现在（已晚上十点了，还没停呢）。

今天到下午，我们自由活动。我们十个人，就在黄天赐神父带领下，去探访主徒会在阳明山的修院及总部。这是我们大家第一次体验在雨中等巴士。

大中华省会长麦神父及主徒会总会长黄进龙神父，热情的欢迎我们。还有曾在马来西亚服务过的米神父，也很高兴的看到我们这群来自八打灵及吉隆坡的教友。

马来西亚籍的珍娜修女也过来和这群教友见面。她的修院就在附近。

修院的主厨安娜，煮的一手好吃的道地台湾菜肴。我们都吃得非常高兴。

我们在下午2时左右，离开阳明山，准备傍晚五时半的交流会开幕礼。

（我会在10，11 号，到回来阳明山住宿两晚）

I got up this morning at 5:45am. Surprisingly, I slept quite well last night.

I was asked to use Electronic check-in Kiosk at the airport for the check in. The machine sucks!...
I have completed all my check in details but the machine did not print out the boarding pass. I was referred by the staff to queue up at row E for normal check in which I have already done so at the kiosk. I protested to the staff and was brought to a check in counter... sorry, we cannot printout the pass for you, please queue up at the C1 (which is a baggage depository counter).

I have wasted good 25 minutes for my check in... so much for the convenience of electronic check in.

However, it was compensated by the good in-flight service provided by the stewardess on board Boeing 747.

Arrived Taipei at about 2:00pm. A group of us from KL, PJ and Kepong were welcomed warmly by the Taiwan legionaries. Fr. Lucas Ng, who is in Taipei, also at the airport to meet us.

The fellowship is being held at Jian Tan International Youth Centre at Shi Lin, Taipei. It was just opposite the historical landmark Yuan Shan Hotel. The place is clean with beautiful landscaping. From the window of the room, I can see the Taipei 101 at a far distance.... not a bad view.

Immediately upon checking in, we went to the famous Shi Lin night market which was about 10 minutes walk from the centre for our lunch ( at 5:00pm ??!)

There I feasted myself to the renowned Chou Tou Fu and Taiwan sausages....and others..

I am blogging at the cosy lobby of the centre with free wifi access.


我今早五点四十五分就起床了。 出乎意料的，昨晚还睡的不错。

到了机场，马航职员引领我到电子机办理登记手续，听说这样不必排队，比较方便。但这机器不是很听话，手续办好了，但却不能列印登机证，后来还得去另一个柜台，然后再到C1，那是行李收集柜台。我总共花了二十五分钟兜圈子，才办好登机手续。

不过，这个不便，至少在乘坐的 747 航机空务员的殷勤服务，获得抵偿。

大约在下午二时抵达台北。来自吉隆坡，八打灵和甲洞的我们十个人，受到台湾军友在机场热情的迎接。人在台北的黄天赐神父也来欢迎我们。

交流会是在士林剑潭海外青年活动中心举行。这个中心，非常的整洁，有美丽的花木，相当的清幽。它也就坐落在台北老地标圆山饭店的对面。从房间，还可以看到台北101，虽然远了一点，但还算不错。

房间分配好之后，我们马上就到士林夜市去吃午餐（？？五点了！）

当然我绝不放过我最喜欢的： 丑豆腐，台湾香肠。。。。。

我现在是在中心的接待处写这部落格，非常的幽静，还有免费无线上网。
